Flow-cell for microelectrode spectro-electrochemistry

A compact electrochemical cell designed for reflective spectro-electrochemistry with microelectrodes (<100 μm diameter). Ideal for fast time-resolved measurements, gas-evolving reactions, and high-current-density studies.

Key features:

  • Low static volume, high-flux cell for reflective spectro-electrochemistry (e.g., Raman, UV-Vis)
  • Manufactured in chemical resistant resin
  • Supports flow rates from 0 to 100 mL/min.
  • Short path-length capability: can be adjusted down to 0.5 mm while maintaining low ohmic resistance.
  • Hosts electrodes external diameters up to 4 mm, optimized for our microelectrodes

Applications:

  • Gas-evolving reactions: Ideal for experiments where reaction products need to be continuously removed, such as operando spectro-electrochemistry
  • High-current-density spectro-electrochemistry: Suitable for measurements up to 1 A/cm2, enabling studies of materials under extreme conditions
  • Fast time-resolved spectro-electrochemistry: supports sub-millisecond measurements for capturing transient electrochemical events (see EIR kit for details)
